Based in São Paulo, Luisa Dörr was born in Lajeado, Brazil and discovered photography at the age of 22. Her photographic work focuses on the genre of portraiture and seeks to address its contemporary aspects. Dörr’s photographs have been published in Time, CNN, PDN, Wired, LensCulture, Marie Claire, L’Oeil de la photographie, Le Figaro, Feature Shoot, El Pais, and Vice among others and has been exhibited in Brazil, Ecuador, the United States, Spain, France, Portugal, England, and Russia. She was selected for the LensCulture Emerging Talent award and PDN Emerging Photographer award in 2015. In 2016, she was selected for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass.
