During Jessica Chan’s tenure as an engineer, she had the freedom to dabble with micro-images in the scanning electron microscopes. This experience largely shaped her concept of photography. “I would often seek the hidden fantasy and trace the imaginative vision in an array of seemingly unexciting surfaces.” Following her passion, she found fulfillment in her role as editor-in-chief for Advanced Images, Travelution, and Fotografika. She is currently the director of the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival with a variety of responsibilities and a meaningful desire to nurture young photographers.
