Adriana Loureiro Fernández is a freelance photojournalist currently based in Caracas, Venezuela. Focusing on social conflict and youth culture, her work has been featured in the New York Times Lens Blog, Causette magazine, Der Spiegel, NPR, among others. She is a frequent contributor to the New York Times, Bloomberg, and Reuters. She received a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York City and exhibited in Photoville, New York (2016, 2017). She has received numerous awards including: Ian Parry's Highly Commended Award (2017); the Remi Ochlik Award at Visa pour l'Image (2019); and the Nikon Award (2018) at the Eddie Adams Workshop. In 2018, Adriana was a fellow with the Heinrich Böll Foundation, which funded a reporting project in North Africa to explore the migrant crisis. She is currently working on a project as part of Reuters Photojournalism Grant. Her work has been exhibited throughout Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
