Brian Grawburg’s grandfather and great-grandfather were both studio photographers. Grawburg has been photographing since before high school and got his first SLR, a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex when he was 15. He has photographed commercially, done sports photography for a NHL farm team in the early 70s, as well as specialized product photography for training programs. Now retired, he has returned to B&W photography with a project to document hidden family cemeteries in Wilson County, NC using a 1937 Leica IIIa. He expects to have an exhibit of selected images in late 2020. (Photo shot in Virginia Beach, VA, USA, 1972. Photo sponsors: Neill and Linda Connor.)
